SEE ALSO...

IFI-202 Antibody (F-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IFI-202 protein of mouse origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IFI-202 (F-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IFI-202 plays a crucial role in immune response regulation, primarily functioning as a nuclear phosphoprotein that inhibits cell growth by modulating transcriptional activity of key regulatory proteins such as NFκB, E2F, AP-1, and p53. This inhibition helps control cellular proliferation and apoptosis, thereby influencing immune response and potentially impacting cancer progression. IFI-202 belongs to a larger family of interferon-inducible proteins, including IFI-203, IFI-204, and D3, all encoded by genes located in the q21-q23 region of chromosome 1. These proteins share homologous segments, highlighting their evolutionary relationship and functional similarities. Two related human proteins, MNDA (myeloid cell nuclear differentiation antigen) and IFI-16, have been identified, with MNDA being specifically expressed in granulocyte-macrophage lineage cells and IFI-16 being constitutively expressed in various T and B cell lines, further underscoring IFI-202′s importance in immune regulation.

Are there any issues with using sc-166253: IFI-202 (F-7) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-166253 conjugates.
