IDH3G Antibody (C-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IDH3G of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-IDH3G antibody (C-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IDH3G, also known as isocitrate dehydrogenase [NAD] subunit g (mitochondrial), is a crucial enzyme in the tricarboxylic acid cycle, consisting of 393 amino acids encoded by the human gene IDH3G. IDH3G plays a vital role in cellular metabolism by catalyzing the oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate to produce 2-oxoglutarate, a key intermediate essential for various biosynthetic pathways and energy production. Proper functioning of IDH3G is critical, as IDH3G not only contributes to energy generation but also regulates metabolite levels involved in amino acid and nucleotide synthesis. IDH3G is typically located in the mitochondrion, where IDH3G forms a heterooligomeric complex with subunits α, β, and γ in a 2:1:1 ratio, and IDH3G activity is allosterically activated by ADP, which enhances affinity for isocitrate. This regulation is important for maintaining metabolic homeostasis, particularly under conditions of varying energy demands.
