    SEE ALSO...

IdeE2 Antibody (C-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IdeE2 from Streptococcus equi subsp. equi 4047 by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IdeE2 antibody (C-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IdeE2 plays a crucial role in the pathogenesis of strangles, a highly contagious disease affecting horses, as IdeE2 is involved in the evasion of the host′s immune response. By interfering with the host′s immune signaling pathways, IdeE2 allows Streptococcus equi to persist and proliferate, leading to severe inflammatory responses characterized by lymphadenopathy, fever, nasal discharge, and anorexia in affected horses. Understanding IdeE2 function is vital for developing effective treatments and vaccines against strangles, particularly since young horses are more susceptible due to their underdeveloped immune systems.
