SEE ALSO...

HuD Antibody (E-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects HuD in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-HuD antibody (E-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HuD, also known as ELAVL4, plays a crucial role in regulating mRNA stability and translation, particularly in postmitotic neurons, where HuD is essential for neuronal differentiation and maintenance. HuD, along with other members of the Elav-like protein family, contains three RNA recognition motifs that specifically bind to AU-rich elements in the 3′-untranslated regions of target mRNAs. This interaction prevents rapid degradation of these mRNAs, thereby enhancing the stability of transcripts critical for neuronal function and development. HuD′s ability to shuttle between the nucleus and cytoplasm, regulated by a nuclear export signal, further underscores HuD′s importance in controlling gene expression in response to cellular signals. HuD monoclonal antibody (E-1) enables researchers to effectively study mRNA regulation dynamics and HuD′s role in various biological processes, including neurogenesis and tumorigenesis.

Is HuD (E-1): sc-28299 monoclonal antibody available directly conjugated to HRP or fluorescent dyes?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. All requests for directly conjugated versions of this antibody should be directed to our Special Orders team at specialorders@scbt.com Alternatively, consider using HuD (H-9): sc-48421, which is available conjugated to agarose, HRP, FITC, PE, and more. Rated 4 out of 5 by from goodWorks very well for Western Blotting at the dilution of 1:1000 overnight or 1 h at room temperature. Works very well also for Immunoprecipitation (4 g for 500 g total protein lysate).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Antibody not specificBe careful with this antibody. It has been produced using almost the full ELAVL4 protein without taking into account the high sequence homology between ELAVL4 and ELAVL2 (91%), and with ELAVL3 (85%). I have observed the same specificy for ELAVL4, ELAVL2 and ELAVL4 using this antibody I'm really disappointed!!
