    SEE ALSO...

HSMNP1 Antibody (C-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HSMNP1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HSMNP1 (C-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HSMNP1 protein, also known as dysbindin domain-containing protein 2 (DBNDD2) or casein kinase I binding protein (CK1BP), consists of 261 amino acids and is a member of the dysbindin family, which plays a crucial role in protein trafficking and lysosome biosynthesis. This function is particularly important as dysregulation of lysosomal function has been linked to various neurodegenerative diseases and psychiatric disorders, including schizophrenia and muscular dystrophy. HSMNP1 shares 86% identity with its human and rat counterparts and features three phosphorylation sites for casein kinase II and protein kinase C, a putative N-glycosylation site, and a PEST motif at the C-terminus, which is indicative of protein degradation signals. HSMNP1 is localized in the cytoplasm and specifically associates with vesicles during apoptosis, suggesting involvement in cellular stress responses. HSMNP1 may play a role in both normal and pathological myeloid development, and two isoforms arise from alternative splicing events, further diversifying functional capabilities.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514709 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
