HSF2 Antibody (3E2) is a rat monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects HSF2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HSF2 (3E2) monoclonal antibody plays a crucial role in the regulation of heat shock response, particularly during cellular differentiation and development. HSF2 is primarily located in the nucleus, where HSF2 functions as a transcription factor that binds to heat shock elements in the promoter regions of heat shock genes. Nuclear localization is vital because HSF2 effectively regulates the expression of these genes in response to stress, ensuring that cells can adapt to and survive adverse conditions. HSF2 is known to form trimers for DNA binding, similar to HSF1, which enhances transcriptional activity. HSF2′s ability to respond to various stressors and interaction with other proteins in the heat shock response pathway underscores HSF2′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and protecting against protein misfolding and aggregation.

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-13517 X be used instead of the standard form sc-13517?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.
