HS3ST2 Antibody (G-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HS3ST2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HS3ST2 (G-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HS3ST2, also known as heparan sulfate (glucosamine) 3-O-sulfotransferase 2, is a 367 amino acid single-pass type II membrane protein primarily localized in the Golgi apparatus and belongs to the heparan sulfate biosynthetic enzyme family. HS3ST2 plays a crucial role in modifying heparan sulfate chains by catalyzing the transfer of a sulfuryl group to an N-unsubstituted glucosamine linked to a 2-O-sulfo iduronic acid unit. Such modifications are essential for proper heparan sulfate functioning in various biological processes, including cell signaling, development, and tissue repair. HS3ST2 shows high expression in the brain and lower levels in the placenta, lung, heart, and skeletal muscle, suggesting significant roles in neurobiological events and other physiological functions. HS3ST2 gene is located on human chromosome 16, which contains over 900 genes and represents nearly 3% of the human genome, highlighting HS3ST2′s importance in genetic regulation and cellular function.
