SEE ALSO...

Hrs Antibody (C-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Hrs protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Hrs antibody (C-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The hepatocyte growth factor-regulated tyrosine kinase substrate (Hrs) is a crucial zinc-finger protein that plays a significant role in intracellular trafficking and signal transduction, particularly associated with early endosomes. Hrs is known to interact with signaling proteins such as STAM and undergoes tyrosine phosphorylation in response to cytokines like interleukin-2, granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor, or hepatocyte growth factor. Hrs structure includes a phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate-binding domain, which is vital for endosomal targeting, allowing Hrs to co-localize with Clathrin through a Clathrin box motif located at its carboxy-terminus. This interaction is essential for the proper functioning of endosomal sorting processes. Additionally, Hrs is integral to ventral folding morphogenesis and shares structural similarities with the yeast protein Vps27p, which is involved in vacuolar protein sorting. The human Hrs gene, located on chromosome 17q25, encodes a 777 amino acid protein, and in Schwann cells, Hrs co-localizes with the tumor suppressor protein schwannomin at endosomes, indicating a potential role for schwannomin in Hrs-mediated cell signaling pathways.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-271455 P appropriate for?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
