SEE ALSO...

HPV16 L1 Antibody (MD2H11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HPV16 L1 protein of HPV-16 origin by western blotting (WB) and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-HPV16 L1 antibody (MD2H11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HPV16 L1 forms the major structural component of the viral capsid, essential for infecting host cells. Pentameric assembly of HPV16 L1 creates a stable and protective shell around the viral genome, allowing viral evasion of host immune response during initial infection. The C-terminus of HPV16 L1 enables DNA binding and packaging while facilitating interaction with minor capsid protein L2, necessary for efficient viral genome encapsidation. Expression of HPV16 L1 remains restricted to upper layers of infected epithelium, highlighting a role in later stages of viral life cycle. HPV16 L1 (MD2H11) monoclonal antibody enables researchers to investigate HPV16 infection mechanisms and develop therapeutic strategies targeting this pathogen.
