HPV16 E6/18 E6 Antibody (C1P5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody specifically raised against the E6 proteins of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) types 16 and 18, also known as HPV16 E6 and HPV18 E6. The E6 proteins are early viral oncoproteins essential for HPV-mediated oncogenesis. They function primarily by promoting the degradation of the tumor suppressor protein p53, thereby inhibiting apoptosis and allowing unchecked cellular proliferation. Additionally, E6 interacts with other host cellular proteins such as hTERT and E6AP, contributing to the viral transformation process.
