HoxA10 Antibody (E-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HoxA10 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-HoxA10 antibody (E-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HoxA10 plays a crucial role as a transcriptional regulator, particularly in embryonic development, and is part of the Abdominal B (AbdB) homeobox subfamily. HoxA10 expression is notably significant in the developing genitourinary tract and the adult uterus, where hormonal changes regulate expression. HoxA10 levels increase during the midsecretory phase of the menstrual cycle, correlating with elevated progesterone levels, which is critical for preparing the endometrium for potential implantation. Northern blot analysis shows that HoxA10 expression in cultured endometrial cells rises in a concentration-dependent manner with progesterone stimulation, while progesterone receptor antagonist RU486 effectively blocks this increase. HoxA10 exhibits differential expression in the myometrium throughout the menstrual cycle, with levels decreasing in response to rising progesterone. Female patients with endometriosis show a lack of the expected mid-luteal increase in uterine Hox gene expression, suggesting a potential link to the pathology of the disease.
