HOTTL Antibody (F-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HOTTL protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HOTTL (F-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HOTTL protein, also known as Tubulin-tyrosine ligase-like protein 3, consists of 352 amino acids and is encoded by human gene TTLL3. HOTTL protein is a member of the Tubulin-tyrosine ligase family and features a TTL domain, which is crucial for enzymatic function. TTL domain, approximately 350 amino acids in length, is characterized by ATP-grasp-like motifs that facilitate ATP and magnesium ion binding, essential for ligase activity. HOTTL plays a key role in dynamic regulation of microtubules by catalyzing re-addition of tyrosine residues to detyrosinated tubulin, participating in detyrosination and tyrosination cycles. This process maintains microtubule stability and function, critical for cell division and intracellular transport. HOTTL may also influence tumor cell regulation, suggesting potential significance in cancer research.
