SEE ALSO...

hnRNP C1/C2 Antibody (B-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects hnRNP C1/C2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). hnRNP C1 and C2 are essential components of the heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein complexes, playing a critical role in the processing and transport of pre-mRNA. These proteins are primarily located in the nucleus, where they bind to heterogeneous nuclear RNA (hnRNA) produced by RNA polymerase II, facilitating the assembly of spliceosomal complexes necessary for mRNA maturation. The ability of hnRNP C1 and C2 to shuttle between the nucleus and cytoplasm is vital for regulating gene expression, as this movement allows for dynamic response to cellular signals and modulation of mRNA stability and translation. Additionally, hnRNP C1 and C2 contain multiple RNA binding domains, which enable interaction with various RNA sequences, influencing splicing decisions and splice site selection. Post-translational modifications, such as phosphorylation and methylation, further diversify the functional repertoire of hnRNP C1 and C2, allowing for fine-tuned regulation of gene expression in response to cellular conditions. Anti-hnRNP C1/C2 antibody (B-8) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying RNA processing and gene regulation mechanisms in diverse biological contexts.
