HNF-3β Antibody (H-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 431-459 at the C-terminus of HNF-3β of mouse origin, exhibiting reactivity with mouse, rat, and human proteins by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and also reactive with additional species including equine, canine, bovine, and porcine. HNF-3β, also known as FOXA2 (Forkhead Box A2), is a critical transcription factor involved in the regulation of gene expression during embryonic development and in adult tissues, particularly in the liver, pancreas, and lungs, and plays a pivotal role in the development and differentiation of endoderm-derived tissues by regulating numerous hepatocyte genes. HNF-3β interacts with several proteins that modulate function, including HNF-6 (Onecut1), which binds to promoter region, indicating a complex network of transcriptional regulation essential for gut endoderm epithelial cell differentiation. Additionally, HNF-3β interacts with other transcription factors such as GATA4 and GATA6, collaborating to activate gene expression during organogenesis, and forms functional interactions with proteins like PPARα, influencing metabolic pathways.
