HMCES Antibody (B-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HMCES protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-HMCES antibody (B-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HMCES protein, also known as 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (hmC) binding, ES cell-specific, or by alternative names DC12, SRAPD1, and C3orf37, consists of 354 amino acids and is part of the SOS response-associated peptidase family, encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 3q21.3. This chromosome harbors genes associated with critical biological functions and diseases, including key tumor suppressor genes that play vital roles in apoptosis and cell migration. HMCES is involved in regulating DNA repair and epigenetic modifications, which are crucial for maintaining genomic stability and preventing tumorigenesis. HMCES interaction with specific proteins involved in DNA damage response highlights importance in cellular processes that safeguard against cancer development. Understanding HMCES function and interactions can provide insights into roles in various diseases, including cancer, and underscores relevance of HMCES monoclonal antibody (B-2) in research applications aimed at elucidating these mechanisms.
