HLTF Antibody (G-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HLTF protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HLTF (G-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HLTF protein, encoded by the HLTF gene, plays a crucial role in DNA repair and transcription regulation, functioning as a member of the SWI/SNF family of proteins, which are known for their helicase and ATPase activities. HLTF protein is essential for maintaining genomic stability, as HLTF helps to remodel chromatin structure, thereby facilitating the transcription of genes involved in cell cycle regulation and DNA damage response. HLTF protein contains a RING finger DNA binding motif, which is significant for interaction with other proteins involved in these processes. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified, with one isoform resulting from an alternative translation start site that truncates HLTF at the N-terminus compared to the full-length version. Aberrant DNA methylation and histone deacetylation leading to transcriptional inactivation of HLTF have been implicated in stomach carcinogenesis, highlighting the importance of HLTF expression in cancer biology.
