HLA-G Antibody (MEM-G/1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects HLA-G in human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. HLA-G is a non-classical major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecule that plays a crucial role in immune tolerance, particularly during pregnancy, by protecting the fetus from maternal immune rejection. HLA-G (MEM-G/1) antibody primarily recognizes HLA-G in trophoblast cells of the placenta, where HLA-G helps to modulate the maternal immune response, ensuring a favorable environment for fetal development. The unique expression pattern of HLA-G, along with its ability to inhibit natural killer (NK) cell activity and promote regulatory T cell development, underscores its importance in maintaining immune homeostasis. Additionally, HLA-G can undergo various post-translational modifications, such as glycosylation, which can influence its stability and interaction with immune cells, further emphasizing its role in immune regulation. Anti-HLA-G antibody (MEM-G/1) is an essential tool for researchers studying immune tolerance mechanisms and the implications of HLA-G in reproductive immunology and related disorders.
