    SEE ALSO...

HLA-DR Antibody (TAL 15.1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody designed to detect the human HLA-DR protein, a pivotal member of the Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) Class II family, also known as Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) Class II DR. The HLA-DR protein is a heterodimer composed of an alpha and a beta chain, each featuring two extracellular domains that form a peptide-binding groove essential for presenting exogenous antigens to CD4+ helper T-cells. This structural configuration is crucial for initiating and regulating adaptive immune responses, making HLA-DR integral to processes such as pathogen recognition, autoimmune disease development, and transplant compatibility. Located on the surface of antigen-presenting cells like B cells, dendritic cells, and macrophages, HLA-DR plays a fundamental role in the immune system′s ability to distinguish self from non-self. Anti-HLA-DR antibody (TAL 15.1) effectively recognizes HLA-DR of human origin in various applications, including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and flow cytometry (FCM), providing researchers with versatile tools for studying HLA-DR expression and function. The HLA-DR genes, located on chromosome 6p21, are known to exhibit polymorphisms that influence immune responses and disease susceptibility, underscoring the importance of precise HLA-DR detection in both research and clinical diagnostics. HLA-DR monoclonal antibody (TAL 15.1) enables scientists to gain deeper insights into antigen presentation mechanisms, investigate the molecular basis of immune-related diseases, and develop targeted therapeutic strategies, thereby advancing immunological research and clinical applications.

How can HLA-DR (TAL 15.1): sc-53317 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

    Asked by: TinTin
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-53317 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-53317 FITC).
