HLA-DQ Antibody (TAL 4.1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects HLA-DQA1 and HLA-DQB1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-HLA-DQ antibody (TAL 4.1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HLA-DQ plays a crucial role in the immune system as a major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II molecule, which is essential for presenting processed antigens to CD4+ T helper cells. This interaction is vital for initiating and regulating immune responses, particularly in the context of autoimmune diseases and transplant rejection. HLA-DQ consists of two chains, α and β, that form a peptide-binding groove, allowing HLA-DQ to bind and present a diverse array of peptide antigens. HLA-DQ presentation of peptides is influenced by its conformation, which is modulated by other MHC molecules such as HLA-DM and HLA-DO. These interactions ensure that the immune system can effectively recognize and respond to pathogens while maintaining tolerance to self-antigens. Understanding HLA-DQ structural dynamics is important for developing therapeutic strategies in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, where specific polymorphisms in HLA-DQ genes have been associated with disease susceptibility.

How can HLA-DQA1 (TAL 4.1): sc-53312 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-53312 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-53312 FITC).
