SEE ALSO...

HLA-DP Antibody (DP 11.1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody engineered to recognize the human HLA-DP protein, a critical member of the Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) Class II family also known as Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) Class II DP. Located on the surface of antigen-presenting cells such as B cells, dendritic cells, and macrophages, HLA-DP plays a pivotal role in the immune system by presenting exogenous peptides to CD4+ helper T-cells, thereby initiating and regulating adaptive immune responses. This localization is essential for the recognition of pathogens and the orchestration of immune defenses, making HLA-DP integral to processes like infection control, autoimmune disease development, and transplant compatibility. Anti-HLA-DP antibody (DP 11.1) is versatile in its applications, effectively performing in western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM), which allows researchers to study HLA-DP expression and function comprehensively. HLA-DP is encoded by the HLA-DPA1 and HLA-DPB1 genes located on chromosome 6p21, regions often associated with immune-related diseases and transplant rejection risks. HLA-DP monoclonal antibody (DP 11.1) enables scientists to gain deeper insights into antigen presentation mechanisms, investigate disease mechanisms, and develop targeted therapeutic strategies, underscoring its importance in immunological research and clinical applications.
