  • raised against amino acids 83-127 mapping within an internal region of HLA-DOα of human origin
  • Anti-HLA-DO alpha Antibody (C-11) is recommended for detection of HLA-DOα of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • Anti-HLA-DO alpha Antibody (C-11) is available conjugated to agarose for IP; HRP for WB, IHC(P) and ELISA; and to either phycoerythrin or FITC for IF, IHC(P) and FCM
  • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 488, Alexa Fluor® 546, Alexa Fluor® 594 or Alexa Fluor® 647 for WB (RGB), IF, IHC(P) and FCM, and for use with RGB fluorescent imaging systems, such as iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
  • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 680 or Alexa Fluor® 790 for WB (NIR), IF and FCM; for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR®Odyssey®, iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP, m-IgG1 BP-HRP and m-IgGκ BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for HLA-DOα Antibody (C-11) for WB applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with HLA-DOα Antibody (C-11) (see ordering information below).

    SEE ALSO...

HLA-DOα Antibody (C-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HLA-DOα in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-HLA-DOα antibody (C-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HLA-DOα, a 250 amino acid single-pass membrane protein, plays a crucial role in the immune response by forming a heterodimer with HLA-DOβ. This interaction is vital for modulating the HLA class II restricted antigen presentation pathway, particularly in the context of peptide loading and presentation to CD4+ helper T cells. HLA-DOα′s location within endosomal and lysosomal compartments, as well as presence on the surface of B cells, underscores HLA-DOα′s importance in regulating the dissociation of class II-associated invariant chain peptides (CLIP) and facilitating the binding of exogenous peptides to HLA class II molecules, such as HLA-DR. By maintaining a conformation that favors peptide exchange, HLA-DOα, in conjunction with HLA-DM, ensures effective immune signaling and response, making HLA-DOα a critical component in the adaptive immune system.

What blocking solution should I use with HLA-DOα (C-11): sc-515446 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?

    Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335). Our Western blot protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
