HLA-B/C Antibody (A-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody, specifically designed to recognize and bind human leukocyte antigens HLA-B and HLA-C, also known as MHC class I molecules. These proteins are located on the surface of nearly all nucleated cells, where they play a crucial role in the immune system by presenting endogenous peptide antigens to CD8+ cytotoxic T lymphocytes, enabling immune surveillance and the elimination of infected or malignant cells. The cell-surface localization of HLA-B and HLA-C is essential for effective antigen presentation and immune recognition, facilitating communication between immune cells and maintaining immune homeostasis. Anti-HLA-B/C antibody (A-3) targets a specific epitope between amino acids 126-145 within an internal region of HLA-C, ensuring high specificity and affinity for these native proteins in their natural conformation. Additionally, HLA-B/C monoclonal antibody (A-3) cross-reacts with mouse H2-L and H2-Q, as well as their corresponding rat homologs, making this a versatile tool for multi-species studies. Anti-HLA-B/C antibody (A-3) is effective in various applications, including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), providing reliable and consistent results for researchers investigating immune responses, autoimmunity, and transplant compatibility. By targeting HLA-B and HLA-C molecules, HLA-B/C monoclonal antibody (A-3) facilitates the study of antigen presentation mechanisms and interactions between different immune cells, advancing our understanding of immune regulation and therapeutic development. Anti-HLA-B/C antibody (A-3) detects a broad range of HLA-B/C alleles, enhancing research utility in both basic and clinical settings, ensuring reproducible outcomes across diverse experimental platforms.
