SEE ALSO...

HIV-1 Tat-SF1 Antibody (C-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects HIV-1 Tat-SF1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HIV-1 Tat-SF1 (C-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HIV-1 Tat-SF1, also known as HIV-1 Tat-specific factor 1, is a crucial phosphoprotein involved in transcriptional elongation, which is essential for efficient expression of HIV-1 genes. HIV-1 Tat-SF1 is predominantly localized in the nucleus, where HIV-1 Tat-SF1 plays a vital role in coupling transcription and splicing by forming complexes with U small nuclear ribonucleoproteins (U snRNPs). HIV-1 Tat-SF1′s interaction with other proteins, such as Tat, P-TEFb, and Spt5, enhances transcriptional activity of the HIV-1 virus, making HIV-1 Tat-SF1 a key player in the viral life cycle. HIV-1 Tat-SF1 contains two RNA recognition motif (RRM) domains and an acidic C-terminal motif, which are critical for function and interaction with RNA and other proteins. Expression of HIV-1 Tat-SF1 is upregulated by HIV-1 proteins Nef and gp120, further highlighting HIV-1 Tat-SF1′s importance in HIV-1 pathogenesis.
