    SEE ALSO...

HIV-1 RT Antibody (39/4.12.2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Pol RT (Reverse Transcriptase) of HIV-1 origin by western blotting (WB). Anti-HIV-1 RT antibody (39/4.12.2) is available in a non-conjugated form, specifically designed for HIV-1 RT detection applications. Reverse transcriptase plays a crucial role in retrovirus life cycles, transcribing viral single-stranded RNA genome into double-stranded DNA, which enables viral genome integration into host cell chromosomes. This process is vital for virus replication and infection establishment in human cells. Host cell tRNA serves as a primer, initiating complementary DNA strand synthesis. HIV-1 RT′s heterodimer structure coordinates enzymatic functions, making HIV-1 RT a target for antiretroviral therapies. Reverse transcriptase inhibitors, such as AZT, prevent viral RNA conversion into DNA, halting virus replication cycles.
