    SEE ALSO...

HIRIP3 Antibody (D-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects HIRIP3 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HIRIP3 (D-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HIRIP3, also known as HIRA interacting protein 3, is a 556 amino acid nuclear protein that plays a crucial role in chromatin function and histone metabolism. HIRIP3 is heavily phosphorylated, particularly by casein kinase II, and is present throughout the cell cycle, indicating importance in cellular processes. HIRIP3 interacts directly with HIRA histone chaperone and shows weaker interactions with core histones, specifically Histone H2B and Histone H3. The C-terminal region of HIRIP3, approximately 60 amino acids long, is highly conserved across vertebrates and contains residues that are invariantly charged, polar, and hydrophobic, which may be essential for functional interactions. Additionally, two isoforms of HIRIP3 arise from alternative splicing, with isoform 1 predominantly expressed in skeletal muscle and isoform 2 found in the liver and heart. Human homologs of HIRA are implicated in developmental disorders such as DiGeorge syndrome, highlighting HIRIP3′s significance in both normal physiology and disease.

What is the recommended fixation method for immunofluorescence staining with HIRIP3 (D-10): sc-376814 monoclonal antibody?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend fixing cells for 5 minutes in -10°C methanol and allowing to air dry. The full protocol can be viewed here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
