    SEE ALSO...

HIP-55 Antibody (E-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects HIP-55 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HIP-55 (E-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HIP-55, also known as HPK1-interacting protein of 55 kDa, ABP1, SH3P7, or DBNL (drebrin-like), is a 430 amino acid cytoplasmic protein that plays a crucial role in the regulation of T-cell activation. HIP-55 acts as an actin-binding adapter protein, linking T-cell receptors to the actin cytoskeleton, which is essential for the formation of the immunological synapse. This interaction is vital for the transduction of signals that lead to gene activation and endocytic processes, ultimately influencing T-cell responses during immune reactions. Additionally, HIP-55 is involved in the binding of F-actin, although HIP-55 does not participate in actin polymerization, capping, or bundling. The presence of both an ADF-H domain and a SH3 domain allows HIP-55 to interact with other proteins such as SHANK2, SHANK3, and PRAM-1, further emphasizing its role in cellular signaling pathways. Notably, HIP-55 is subject to degradation by caspases during apoptosis, highlighting its importance in both cell survival and immune regulation.
