    SEE ALSO...

HGTD-P Antibody (H-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects HGTD-P of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HGTD-P (H-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HGTD-P, also known as human growth and transformation-dependent protein, E2IG5, or FAM162A, is a 154 amino acid single-pass membrane protein that belongs to the UPF0389 family. HGTD-P functions as a proapoptotic factor, particularly in hypoxia-ischemia (HI), where HGTD-P acts as an effector of cell death. HGTD-P localizes to mitochondria, and HGTD-P overexpression can induce mitochondrial permeability transition by interacting with voltage-dependent anion channels, facilitating apoptotic cell death through mitochondrial apoptotic pathways, including permeability transition, cytochrome c release, and caspase 9 activation. HGTD-P regulation is intricately linked to hypoxia, as hypoxia-inducible factor 1-alpha (HIF-1α) activates HGTD-P through a hypoxia-responsive element located in the promoter region of the HGTD-P gene, making HGTD-P a potential therapeutic target for conditions associated with HI-induced brain damage.
