HELZ Antibody (FA-52) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects HELZ protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-HELZ antibody (FA-52) is available as the non-conjugated form. HELZ, also known as helicase with zinc finger, DHRC, or HUMORF5, is a crucial nuclear protein composed of 1,942 amino acids and features a C3H1-type zinc finger, placing HELZ within the RNA helicase superfamily. HELZ is expressed ubiquitously during embryonic development and plays a vital role in modifying RNA structure, which is essential for proper development of multiple organs and tissues in the embryo. By unwinding double-stranded RNA regions, HELZ alters RNA conformation, thereby influencing biological activity and ensuring correct genetic information is accessible for translation and other cellular processes. HELZ′s ability to interact with various RNA molecules highlights HELZ′s importance in gene regulation and cellular function, making HELZ a significant target for research in developmental biology and related fields.
