    SEE ALSO...

HDHD2 Antibody (C-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HDHD2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HDHD2 (C-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HDHD2 protein, also known as haloacid dehalogenase-like hydrolase domain containing 2, consists of 259 amino acids and is expressed in two isoforms due to alternative splicing. HDHD2 plays a crucial role in the hydrolytic dehalogenation of D- and L-2-haloalkanoic acids, which is essential for the metabolism of halogenated compounds and the detoxification of environmental pollutants. HDHD2 enzymatic activity is attributed to two active sites, which include an L-2-haloacid dehalogenase and a carboxylate group, allowing conversion of harmful substances into less toxic forms. HDHD2 gene is located on human chromosome 18, and deletions in this region can lead to various health issues, including deafness and blindness, as well as conditions such as Trisomy 18 and Niemann-Pick disease. HDHD2′s ability to interact with other proteins involved in metabolic pathways further underscores its importance in cellular function and disease processes, making anti-HDHD2 antibody (C-1) a valuable tool for researchers studying these critical biological mechanisms.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514621 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
