HCF1 Antibody (H-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HCF1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-HCF1 antibody (H-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HCF1 plays a crucial role in cell cycle regulation, particularly in the G1 phase, where HCF1 is essential for transcriptional activation of herpes simplex virus immediate-early genes. This activation occurs through HCF1′s interaction with viral transcription factor VP16, forming a multiprotein complex vital for initiating viral infection. HCF1 undergoes post-translational modifications, including cleavage into N- and C-terminal polypeptides, which are important for functional diversity. N-terminal fragments, generated through proteolysis, associate with VP16, while C-terminal polypeptides form a distinct nuclear complex with protein phosphatase 1, highlighting HCF1′s multifaceted roles in cellular processes and viral pathogenesis.
