SEE ALSO...

GSTA1/2/5 Antibody (E-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects GSTA1/2/5 protein of mouse, GSTA1/3/5 of human origin, and GSTA2/5 of rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GSTA1/2/5 (E-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GSTA1/2/5 protein is a member of the glutathione S-transferase (GST) family, which plays a crucial role in detoxifying harmful compounds, including carcinogens and environmental toxins, thereby protecting cells from oxidative stress and damage. Specifically, the GSTA family, which includes GSTA1, GSTA2, GSTA3, and GSTA5, consists of highly homologous proteins that localize primarily in the cytoplasm and are predominantly expressed in the liver. These proteins exhibit peroxidase activity, which is vital for neutralizing reactive oxygen species and peroxidation by-products, and may also be involved in the metabolism of certain anti-cancer drugs, highlighting their importance in both cellular protection and therapeutic efficacy.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398714 P appropriate for?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
