GS28 Antibody (F-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects GS28 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GS28 (F-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GS28 plays a crucial role in the vesicular transport system within eukaryotic cells, specifically in the trafficking of proteins between the endoplasmic reticulum and the Golgi apparatus. This process ensures proteins are correctly modified and delivered to functional destinations, essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and function. GS28 interaction with other SNARE proteins, such as GS27, facilitates SNARE complex formation, a key component in vesicle fusion with target membranes. This complex brings vesicle and target membranes into close proximity and provides energy necessary for membrane fusion, ensuring efficient transport and protein processing. The human GS28 gene is located on chromosome 17q11, and proper function is critical for cellular communication and protein sorting, making GS28 an important target for research in cellular biology and related diseases.
