    SEE ALSO...

GS28 Antibody (1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects GS28 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). GS28, a member of the SNARE protein family, plays a crucial role in intracellular transport of proteins, particularly in trafficking between the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus, as well as between different Golgi subcompartments. Anti-GS28 antibody (1) recognizes a protein integral to the formation of the SNARE complex, which is essential for the fusion of vesicles with target membranes, a process vital for maintaining cellular function and communication. The proper functioning of GS28 is important not only for protein sorting and delivery but also for overall cellular homeostasis, as disruptions in this process can lead to various diseases, including those related to hypertension, given that the human GS28 gene is located near a locus associated with familial essential hypertension on chromosome 17q11. GS28 monoclonal antibody (1) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying the mechanisms of protein trafficking and the implications of SNARE proteins in health and disease.

I am using GS28 (1): sc-135933 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

    Asked by: Germaine
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
