GRP1 Antibody (A-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects GRP1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GRP1 (A-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GRP1, or general receptor for phosphoinositides-1, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling and membrane dynamics due to unique structural features, including a pleckstrin homology (PH) domain and a Sec7 domain. The PH domain exhibits high binding affinity for phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate (PtdIns(3,4,5)P3), which is vital for GRP1 recruitment to the plasma membrane, facilitating membrane trafficking and protein sorting. The Sec7 domain catalyzes guanine nucleotide exchange of ADP-ribosylation factor (ARF) proteins, particularly ARF6, which regulates endocytosis and exocytosis processes. GRP1′s interaction with PtdIns(3,4,5)P3 and ARF6 underscores GRP1′s importance in cellular adhesion and signaling pathways, making GRP1 a significant target for studies related to cell migration and membrane dynamics.
