    Group IVF sPLA2 Antibody (C-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects group IVF sPLA2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-group IVF sPLA2 antibody (C-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Group IVF sPLA2, also known as PLA2G4FZ or PLA2G4F, is a calcium-dependent phospholipase consisting of 849 amino acids, featuring one PLA2c domain and a C2 domain, and exists in three alternatively spliced isoforms. This enzyme plays a crucial role in lipid metabolism by hydrolyzing the sn-2-acyl ester bond in glycerophospholipids, which leads to the release of fatty acids, including arachidonic acid. Arachidonic acid is a key precursor for the synthesis of various eicosanoids, which are important signaling molecules involved in inflammatory responses. The preferential activity of group IVF sPLA2 for phosphatidylethanolamine over phosphatidylcholine highlights its specific functional role in cellular signaling and membrane dynamics, making group IVF sPLA2 a significant target for research in inflammation and related diseases.
