Gros1 Antibody (F-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Gros1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Gros1 (F-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Gros1 protein, also known as leprecan, plays a crucial role in the formation and maintenance of the basement membrane, a specialized extracellular matrix that provides structural support and regulates cellular behavior in tissues. Gros1 (F-5) monoclonal antibody recognizes a protein involved in cell adhesion, migration, and differentiation, which are vital for tissue development and repair. The gene encoding Gros1 undergoes alternative splicing to produce two isoforms, Gros1S and Gros1L, with Gros1S being predominantly expressed in the placenta, ovary, and testis. The rat homolog of Gros1 is secreted by parietal yolk sac tumor cells and contributes to the generation of substrates necessary for protein glycosylation, further underscoring Gros1′s significance in cellular functions and developmental processes.
