GROα Antibody (5G11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects GROα in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GROα, also known as growth-related oncogene alpha, is a member of the C-X-C chemokine subfamily, which plays a crucial role in regulating cell motility and growth. GROα is primarily secreted by activated macrophages and fibroblasts and acts as a potent chemoattractant for neutrophils, thereby facilitating their migration to sites of inflammation. GROα′s importance extends beyond immune response; GROα is also implicated in angiogenesis, the formation of new blood vessels, which is vital for tumor growth and metastasis. Notably, GROα′s interaction with specific receptors on target cells can trigger signaling pathways that promote cell proliferation and survival, making GROα a significant factor in both normal physiological processes and pathological conditions, such as cancer. Anti-GROα antibody (5G11) is an essential tool for researchers studying the mechanisms of inflammation and tumor progression, providing insights into potential therapeutic targets.
