GRHL3 Antibody (C-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects GRHL3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GRHL3 (C-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GRHL3 protein, also known as sister of mammalian grainyhead (SOM) or transcription factor CP2-like 4 (TFCP2L4), is a 626 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in neural tube formation during embryonic development, as evidenced by transgenic GRHL3-null mouse embryos exhibiting significant neural tube defects. GRHL3 protein is part of the grainyhead subfamily, which includes GRHL1, GRHL2, and GRHL3, all functioning as transcription factors that regulate gene expression during development. GRHL3 protein is predominantly localized in the nucleus, where GRHL3 can form homodimers or heterodimers with other members of its subfamily, thereby influencing various developmental processes. GRHL3 protein is widely expressed across different tissues and exists in four isoforms generated through alternative splicing, with isoform 2 being specifically associated with prostate tissue. GRHL3′s ability to interact with other proteins and diverse isoform expression underscores GRHL3′s importance in developmental biology and potential implications in various diseases.
