    SEE ALSO...

GRF-1 Antibody (C-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects GRF-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GRF-1 (C-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GRF-1, also known as glucocorticoid receptor DNA-binding factor 1 or p190RhoGAP, plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression by binding to the promoter region of the glucocorticoid receptor gene, thereby repressing its expression. This repression down-regulates glucocorticoid receptor signaling, which is essential for mediating actin cytoskeletal rearrangements and cell cycle progression. GRF-1′s function is further underscored by involvement in oligodendrocyte differentiation, a process notably disrupted in malignant glioma tumors, suggesting GRF-1 may act as a tumor suppressor. Additionally, GRF-1 undergoes post-translational modifications, including ubiquitination, which regulates activity and stability by controlling protein degradation. GRF-1 expression is modulated by glucocorticoids, and exists in two isoforms due to alternative splicing, highlighting regulatory mechanism complexity and potential implications in various physiological and pathological processes.
