GPT Antibody (E-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects GPT protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-GPT antibody (E-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The glutamate pyruvate transaminases, GPT (or GPT1) and GPT2, also known as alanine aminotransferases (ALT1 and ALT2), are crucial enzymes that catalyze the reversible transamination between alanine and 2-oxoglutarate, resulting in the formation of pyruvate and glutamate. This reaction is vital for the intermediary metabolism of glucose and amino acids, highlighting GPT′s role in metabolic pathways.
