GPNMB Antibody (D-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects GPNMB protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-GPNMB antibody (D-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GPNMB, also known as hematopoietic growth factor inducible neurokinin-1 (HGFIN), is a single-pass type I transmembrane glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in cellular processes, particularly in melanoma. GPNMB is involved in melanogenesis regulation and shows higher expression in poorly metastatic melanoma cell lines, while remaining absent in highly metastatic variants. This differential expression suggests GPNMB may serve as a potential biomarker for melanoma progression and could be significant in understanding tumor metastasis mechanisms. GPNMB is also implicated in lymphohematopoietic stem cell maturation, highlighting significance beyond melanocyte biology. GPNMB monoclonal antibody (D-9) effectively detects this target across various applications, making this reagent invaluable for researchers studying melanoma and stem cell biology.
