    SEE ALSO...

GNL1 Antibody (H-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects GNL1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GNL1 (H-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GNL1, or Guanine nucleotide-binding protein-like 1, is a crucial nuclear protein that plays a significant role in regulating the histocompatibility cluster. GNL1 is localized within or near the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I region and is a member of the MMR1/HSR1 GTP-binding protein family. The GTPase activity of GNL1 is vital for maintaining normal cell growth, as GNL1 is involved in the circular rearrangement of G-motifs that are essential for ribosome biogenesis. Notably, deletion of GNL1 leads to severe growth defects, characterized by a marked reduction in mature ribosomal RNA species and an accumulation of the 35S pre-rRNA transcript. Furthermore, absence of GNL1 disrupts the export of the ribosomal protein Rpl25a from the nucleolus, resulting in a null phenotype that affects nucleolar structure and function. Upon DNA damage, GNL1 undergoes phosphorylation by kinases such as Atm or ATR, highlighting GNL1′s role in cellular stress responses.
