GluR-1 Antibody (E-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody designed to target the GluR-1 protein, also known as GRIA1 or Glutamate receptor AMPA type 1. GluR-1 monoclonal antibody (E-6) recognizes an epitope within amino acids 33-51 near the N-terminus of human GluR-1, ensuring reliable detection across multiple species, including mouse, rat, and human. GluR-1 is a crucial subunit of AMPA-type ionotropic glutamate receptors, which are responsible for mediating the majority of fast excitatory neurotransmission in the central nervous system. These receptors play essential roles in synaptic plasticity, learning, memory, neural development, and are also involved in the mechanisms underlying neurodegeneration. By regulating synaptic strength and plasticity, GluR-1 is fundamental to cognitive functions and effective neuronal communication. GluR-1 (E-6) antibody is versatile and suitable for various applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-GluR-1 antibody (E-6) is available in both non-conjugated form and multiple conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and several Alexa Fluor® conjugates, making it adaptable to diverse experimental requirements. GluR-1 (E-6) monoclonal antibody facilitates precise detection and in-depth study of GluR-1, thereby supporting advanced research into synaptic function and neurological disorders.

I am using GluR-1 Antibody (E-6): sc-13152 for Western blot. How do I know if the band I am detecting is specific?
