GLUD2 Antibody (3C2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects GLUD2 in human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GLUD2, also known as GDH2 or GLUDP1, is a mitochondrial matrix enzyme that plays a crucial role in recycling glutamate during neurotransmission, which is essential for maintaining synaptic function and overall brain health. GLUD2 is primarily expressed in the testis and retina, with lower expression levels in the brain, highlighting its importance in reproductive and visual processes. GLUD2 helps regulate the availability of glutamate, an excitatory neurotransmitter critical for cognitive functions such as learning and memory. Dysregulation of glutamate levels can lead to various neurological disorders, making GLUD2 a significant target for research in neurobiology and potential therapeutic interventions. Anti-GLUD2 antibody (3C2) provides a reliable tool for studying this important protein and its implications in health and disease.
