Glucagon Antibody (C-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Glucagon in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Glucagon antibody (C-11) is available in both non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, such as agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Glucagon is a crucial pancreatic hormone that plays a vital role in glucose metabolism by acting as an antagonist to insulin; Glucagon stimulates the conversion of glycogen to glucose, thereby increasing blood sugar levels, which is essential for maintaining energy homeostasis in the body. Glucagon is primarily located in the alpha cells of the pancreas, where Glucagon is synthesized from proglucagon.
