    SEE ALSO...

GLP-2R Antibody (1F2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects GLP-2R protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-GLP-2R antibody (1F2) is available as a non-conjugated format. The glucagon-like peptide 2 receptor (GLP-2R) plays a crucial role in the gastrointestinal system, where GLP-2R is primarily located on the surface of intestinal epithelial cells. This strategic localization is vital as GLP-2R mediates the effects of GLP-2, a hormone that promotes intestinal growth and enhances nutrient absorption. By binding to GLP-2, GLP-2R activates intracellular signaling pathways that lead to increased mucosal growth and improved gut function, which are essential for maintaining overall digestive health. GLP-2R activity is mediated through G-proteins that activate adenylyl cyclase, resulting in the production of cyclic AMP, a key second messenger in various cellular processes. Given GLP-2R importance in gastrointestinal physiology, GLP-2R serves as a potential therapeutic target for conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease and short bowel syndrome, making anti-GLP-2R antibody (1F2) a valuable tool for researchers studying these pathways.

Sirs, Do you have a polyclonal rabbit antibody for GLP-2R? Or did you have about two years ago?

    Asked by: Per H
Thank you for your question. Yes, we did previously offer a rabbit polyclonal antibody against GLP-2R. That antibody is now discontinued. If you have any specific questions about the antibody, please contact our Technical Service Department. Please call our European Support office toll-free at 00800 4573 8000, email europe@scbt.com, or contact us by live chat.

For Western Blot, is it recommended to use denatured or non-denatured conditions with GLP-2R (1F2): sc-293310 antibody?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. We recommend this antibody for use in denatured Western Blot conditions. It has not been validated for use in non-denatured conditions. Please contact our Technical Service Department for further details or inquiries.
