    SEE ALSO...

GLIS1 Antibody (E-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects GLIS1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GLIS1 Antibody (E-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GLIS1 is a 789 amino acid protein encoded by the human gene GLIS1, primarily located in the nucleus, where GLIS1 plays a crucial role as both a transcriptional repressor and activator. This dual functionality is vital for regulating gene expression during development, particularly in mesodermal structures such as craniofacial regions, branchial arches, and limb buds. GLIS1 belongs to the GLI C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family and features five C2H2-type zinc fingers, which are essential for DNA-binding capabilities. GLIS1 binds to the consensus sequence 5′-GACCACCCAC-3′, influencing the transcription of target genes involved in critical developmental pathways. Understanding GLIS1 regulation is significant, as such knowledge may provide insights into the mechanisms underlying human birth defects and various cancers, highlighting GLIS1′s importance in developmental biology and disease research.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-365857 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
