SEE ALSO...

GLIPR1 Antibody (8D9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects GLIPR1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-GLIPR1 antibody (8D9) is available as a non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. GLIPR1 protein, also known as GLI pathogenesis-related 1, RTVP1, or CRISP7, is a 266 amino acid single-pass membrane protein that belongs to the cysteine-rich secretory protein (CRISP) family. GLIPR1 plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, including tumor suppression, as GLIPR1 functions as a target gene of p53, a well-known tumor suppressor. GLIPR1 is predominantly expressed in tissues such as the heart, lung, kidney, placenta, liver, and skeletal muscle, as well as in cell lines derived from nervous system tumors, highlighting GLIPR1′s potential significance in both normal physiology and cancer biology. GLIPR1 expression is notably induced by p53 overexpression, gamma irradiation, and doxorubicin treatment, suggesting GLIPR1′s involvement in cellular stress responses and tumorigenesis. GLIPR1 gene is located on human chromosome 12q21.2, and while several alternatively spliced isoforms exist, not all have been fully characterized, indicating a complex regulatory mechanism that may influence GLIPR1′s function in different cellular contexts.
