SEE ALSO...

GLEPP1 Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects GLEPP1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GLEPP1 (B-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Glomerular epithelial protein 1 (GLEPP1), also known as protein tyrosine phosphatase U2 or receptor-type tyrosine-protein phosphatase O, is a crucial member of the protein-tyrosine phosphatase family, which plays a significant role in regulating signal transduction pathways. GLEPP1 is a Type I membrane protein characterized by eight fibronectin type-III domains and one tyrosine-protein phosphatase domain. This structural configuration enables GLEPP1 to interact with various signaling molecules, modulating cellular responses to external stimuli. GLEPP1 expression occurs primarily in kidney glomeruli, with additional presence in placenta, lung, and brain, highlighting GLEPP1′s importance in both renal function and broader physiological processes. GLEPP1′s ability to dephosphorylate specific tyrosine residues maintains cellular homeostasis and regulates pathways involved in cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis, making GLEPP1 a key player in both normal physiology and disease states.
