GH Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Growth Hormone (GH) in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-GH antibody (E-7) is available in both non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental needs. Growth Hormone, also known as somatotropin, is essential for regulating growth, metabolism, and differentiation across various mammalian cell types, primarily by modulating the synthesis of multiple mRNA species. GH (E-7) monoclonal antibody recognizes GH when bound to growth hormone receptor (GHR) on target cells, initiating a phosphorylation cascade that activates numerous signaling pathways critical for cellular function and development. GH is secreted in a pulsatile manner, tightly regulated by the hypothalamic hormones GH-releasing hormone (GHRH) and somatostatin (SRIF), which together control GH synthesis and release from somatotrophs in the anterior pituitary gland. Additionally, GH secretion is subject to feedback regulation by its own levels and by insulin-like growth factor I, ensuring a balanced physiological response. The human growth hormone protein consists of 191 amino acids and features two disulfide bridges, which are crucial for its structural integrity and biological activity.
